Waiting for the ice to melt, the new EP by Ocean in a Bottle is a massive change in direction from the previous release at the edge of the Milky Way,

Where the at the edge of the Milky Way was a case of exploring the edge of our Galaxy with raging, screaming drones, Waiting for the ice to melt is a different approach of looking at life looking at silence at the edge of both of the North and South Pole.

Originally designed and recorded at the end of 2019 into the start of 2020 just before lockdown and previously thought to be lost for a un-named internet record label who approached me to do a 3 track single for them with each track being under a one and a half minutes.

The tracks completed are the completed sessions for this forgotten release with all of the tracks highlighting the challenge I had in front of me where I had to compose the mood and the feeling of everything in under a 1 minute and a half.

Sounds easy? It certainly wasn’t…
