At the end of every Summer for me, there is always a short spell inbetween the seasons where it seems like the countryside is slowly tuning itself into Autumn where most of it will either die or go back to sleep. Take for example Chorlton Meadows where I was the other week with my partner, and all we could see was apart from the grass drying out and the leaves falling off the trees was animals either flying south or getting ready to sleep for a few months.

It’s a strange beauty looking at the barreness around you when you get this, and all you are left with is the breeze and the gentle rush of the water talking hold of your senses which leaves you in a deep reflection.

This new short single by Ocean in a Bottle after a break for a few months covers a very similar time of reflection. Returning to its barren sound of piano echoing across the room, its emotions are as much as a reflection of what has gone past but also what is to come just prior to the Birth of Autumn. (Due out next at the beginning of October) touching feelings lost but also never more really alive.
