A Means to an End live at Tyldesley Top Chapel, 12 December 2015 is like the Sex Pistols when they played the free trade hall where in reverse, Poetry and Music supergroup 'A Means to an End' played by all accounts which is likely to be their last ever gig.
Formed around Jeff (Jeffarama!) Dawson, Petrova Fairhurst and Andy N in 2011 their fusion of poetry, singing and music has graced dozens of festivals and venues all over the North West of England but started only a few yards up the road from the TopChapel years back so kinda made sense for the finale to be based here, in support of a 4 track demo CD in preparation for a album probably due for release at the start of 2016, produced, mixed and featuring additional work by Ian Livesey
who played with them on this gig.
A Means to an End on this occasion were:
Andy N - Vocals
Petrova Fairhurst - Vocals / Guitar
Jeffarma! - Vocals / Guitar
Ian Livesey - Guitar
The Joy Division cover done as a tribute to Andy was done later in the night by Petrova, Jeff and Ian and done without his knowledge and is included here as a bonus track as without the work of Joy Division, the past four and a half years likely would have never happened.
Thanks to everybody who has played with us and supported us over the past four years. We couldn't have done it without you.
